Colorful Tongue & Groove Planks
Description
These reclaimed redwood planks, once part of barns and fences rich with history, are prized for their unique knots, textures, and colors. The variety of wood we use, Sequoia Sempervirens, grows exclusively along the Northern California coast in limited quantities. Due to the species being endangered, these planks are only obtainable through reclaimed methods–making these boards even more special.
A sturdy 3/8" thickness coupled with Tongue and Groove edges make these equally versatile for indoor and outdoor projects. We’ve finished these boards with a vintage patina paint, bringing a touch of history and rustic elegance to your home.
- Material: 100% Reclaimed Coastal Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens)
- Style: Painted with a vintage patina colors finish.
- Dimensions: 3/8" thick, 5" wide, and varying lengths from 8" to 48" for staggered edges
- Installation: We recommend using a 16 or 18 gauge finish brad nailer to nail these planks onto the wall. You can also use screws, nails, staples, or glue adhesive. For best results, give the planks 48 hours to acclimate to the install environment.

- Compatibility: Great for both indoor and outdoor wall surfaces.
- Texture: Each plank is naturally weathered with unique grain, imperfections, and coloration. The back is precision-milled to be smooth and squared, and the sides are Tongue & Groove.
Calculating Square Footage
- Measure the width and height of your wall in inches.
- Multiply these numbers to get the total square inches. For example, a wall that is 120 inches wide and 96 inches high equals 11,520 square inches.
- Convert the total square inches to square feet by dividing by 144. For example, 11,520 square inches divided by 144 equals 80 square feet.
- Add 10% extra to cover waste. For an 80 square foot wall, order 88 square feet.
- If you have exact foot measurements, convert them to inches first (1 foot = 12 inches).

How long does shipping take?
Shipping times vary depending on location and order size. You can expect delivery typically between 4 to 14 days after your purchase.
Where do you source your wood from?
Much of our lumber comes from northern Idaho. However, we don't limit our selection to one area; rather, we scour for the best wood we can get our hands on. From vintage fences on the West Coast to rustic barns from the Midwest, we source from all across the US.
Do you offer samples?
We offer samples for many of our products. Look for the "Sample" size option on our listings. If you don't see an option, contact us and we may be able to send you a custom sample.
Is your wood chemically treated to give it its aged look?
We never treat our wood with any chemicals or expedited aging techniques to create "artificial" rustic-looking wood. Instead, we naturally air-dry our lumber indoors and ensure each board isn't infested with bugs and rot. All our wood, and we mean every single board, has been salvaged from antique structures, be it fences, barns, or even old houses.
Is this real authentic wood?
We only stock and sell authentic reclaimed wood, never processing new boards to look old. Due to natural aging and weathering, no two boards we sell are exactly alike. Our wood does vary slightly over time since each batch has a unique origin. One side of our wood may appear fresh. This is due to vertically milling some of our wood products to create a fresh side, which helps the wood sit flat during installation.
